This is not a day for cynicism, which is death to the artist, but I cannot help but agree with the recent email suggesting that "meet the new boss, same as the old boss" is one of the greatest rock lyrics.
Particularly appropriate given the ongoing Enrongate/Andersengate discoveries in this country (and no doubt also in the US, although I am not sure that George W ever claimed to be a "new boss" in quite the same way as "New Labour"). Down boy. There goes that cynicism.
